Pediatric Department |
The Pediatric Department, located on the 5th floor of St. John's Children's Hospital in the Carol Jo Vecchie
Women and Children's Center, features cheerfully decorated hallways, waiting rooms and play areas. The pediatrics
staff is specially trained to understand and respond to their needs. We also have child life specialists who use
medical play and teaching to help young patients and their families cope with hospitalization. Surgical Discovery
tours help ease the fears children often experience before a scheduled surgery. Other classes and programs help
children cope with medical treatments.
