Admitting

When you come into the hospital, there will be a person in the admitting area who will ask questions about both you and your family. While you are here, you will get a bracelet that tells us who you are, and if you have any allergies.

Emergency Department (ED)

Sometimes when children and teenagers are not feeling well, they come to the Emergency Department to see a doctor. The doctor will find out why you are not feeling well, and talk with you about how to make you feel better.

Neonatal Intensive Care
When babies are born and need additional attention and medicine, they are admitted into the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.

Sometimes children who come to the hospital need a small tube, called an I.V., placed under their skin. The nurses use it to put medicine in if you need it. The treatment room is used so that your room can be a "procedure free" zone.

The teen lounge is for older children and teenagers. Family members can go into the teen lounge with their pediatric patient. We have video games and board games in there in case you would like to challenge a friend to a game!
