Gifts to Friends of St. John's Hospital can be made in a variety of ways, including gifts of cash, or gifts of appreciated assets such as stocks or real estate. Through one of our Planned Giving Programs, called The Legacy Society, benefactors can obtain tax advantages today by making arrangements for a future gift to the hospital. The Legacy SocietyThe Legacy Society, established in 2002, recognizes and honors the generosity and vision of individuals who have chosen to leave a legacy to St. John's Hospital through estate or deferred gifts (such as charitable trusts, remainder interest in personal real estate, life insurance, etc.). The Friends of St. John’s Hospital Legacy Society was formed to thank our special friends while they are able to enjoy the rewards of their legacy of love to the hospital. Many friends of St. John’s Hospital are making special provisions in their wills or trusts to ensure superior health care and help save and enrich lives for many years to come. The Legacy Society allows the Friends St. John’s Hospital to express proper appreciation for our friends’ wonderful gestures of support. Many donors find that through bequests they are able to make a significant philanthropic impact. As with other methods of making gifts, estate gifts can be unrestricted or designated to a specific division or program at St. John’s Hospital. Whether you are a current donor or considering a first-time gift, when you give to Friends of St. John's Hospital, you share in our commitment of providing excellent health care. By making a gift, you will not only support health care today, but for many generations to come. Gifts of any size are always appreciated. When making a bequest to St. John’s Hospital, please consult your attorney, other appropriate advisors and the Friends of St. John’s Hospital. The following language can be included in your will/trust or condicil: “I give _____ percent and/or $_______ of my estate to the Friends of St. John’s Hospital, a division of the Hospital Sisters of St. Francis Foundation; 800 E.
