Junior League, St. John’s Children’s Hospital, 93.9 ABE FM producing Kids in the Kitchen cookbook
SPRINGFIELD -- The Junior League of Springfield, in partnership with St. John's Children's Hospital and 93.9 ABE FM, want to encourage kids to get healthy and get cookin' by publishing a kids cookbook called Kids in the Kitchen. Area children are encouraged to submit recipes for the cookbook that will be released in late 2008.
The cookbook will feature 75-plus recipes created by kids for kids ages 8-12. Kids in the Kitchen also will be a resource guide for parents on the basic principles of healthy eating and exercise. The goal is to design a colorful and fun cookbook that kids can use either on their own or with their parent(s).
