Springfield Moms Web site launches weekly “Kids Health Check” with St. John’s Children’s Hospital

Springfield, IL. – Springfield Moms, in conjunction with St. John’s Children’s Hospital, now offers a Kids Health Check medical feature in a weekly series on their popular online family resource www.springfieldmoms.org.

Area families can access educational articles including the new “Ask the Specialist” series, which covers a variety of health topics from treating a children’s cold to the latest on immunizations, allergy stimulants and suggestions for what to do if your child is hospitalized.

St. John’s Children’s Hospital has provided major sponsorship support for Springfield Moms since the website’s inception in November 2004.

“SpringfieldMoms.org helps us to expand our outreach online and better serve the community,” says Brian Reardon, Director of Community and Government Relations for St. John’s Children’s Hospital.  “Through this partnership, we can provide area families with timely and informative updates from the more than 60 pediatric specialists here at St. John’s Children’s Hospital.”

When parents click on the Kids Health Check feature box on the Springfieldmoms.org home page, they can now access a new feature article, video or interview every week.

“Our goal is to have information readily available for families who can go online 24/7 and find answers to questions about their kids’ health,” says Julie Kaiser, Director of Media Relations for Springfield Moms. “We are excited to showcase the medical expertise, community programs and quality care services that St. John’s Children’s Hospital offers our reader families.”
