The Total Joint Replacement Program of the Bone & Joint Institute at St. John's Hospital offers specialized care for the patient undergoing total joint replacement. A team of multidisciplinary specialists, under the direction of orthopedic physicians, develops a plan of care specific to the needs of each individual patient. A program facilitator contacts patients to schedule preoperative education and testing. Patients and family members receive information related to the surgery and the post surgical period and have the opportunity to ask questions and share concerns. St. John's program facilitators follow patients for a minimum of one year after surgery to monitor their progress.
