Hospice
St. John's Hospital has been a healing presence in the Springfield community for over 125 years. Our ministry to the sick and needy began in 1875 with four Hospital Sisters of St. Francis, who cared for patients and families in their homes and in the home of the Sisters.
Today, St. John's continues to carry out the Sisters' commitment of serving the people of God. Our hospice program is a continuation of these efforts, fulfilling its role in the mission by providing for the spiritual, physical and emotional needs of terminally ill patients and their families.
