Pediatric Care

Pediatric care from St. John's Home Health Services is performed by a highly qualified staff of registered nurses, therapists and social workers.

Pediatric skilled nursing care includes:

  • Health care maintenance focusing on independence for families of children with illnesses including asthma, diabetes, failure to thrive, malignancies, cardiac anomalies, syndrome disorders and neurological disorders.
  • Home infusion therapy (e.g., total parenteral nutrition, blood components, antibiotics, fluids, chemotherapy, intravenous medication)
  • Intravenous line care -- both peripheral and central venous access
  • Procedures and education needed for maintenance of surgical interventions (e.g., gastrostomies, tracheotomies, colostomies, etc.)
  • Treatment and education needed for recovery.

Pediatric Care offers these additional services with a pediatric focus:

  • Home health aides
  • Pastoral care
  • Rehabilitation services
  • Social work services

A home health nurse is on call 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
