About Third Age Living

A program for older adults and their families

Third Age Living is an innovative program committed to helping older persons age well and remain independent, healthy and productive.

  • The first age of our life is a time of growth -- as children, we learn the basics of living, how to walk, run, eat and play. It is a time of discovery, a time to experience the world around us. In the first age we learn through the example of role models, people older and wiser than we are.
  • The second age begins in our early twenties -- it is a period of responsibilities, a time to make choices about our life's work, our homes, families and friends. In the second age we depend on the advice and support of older people who are examples for us.
  • Third Age Living begins in the senior years. This time can be a new and exciting period of life; a third age of opportunity, fulfillment and increased activity.

St. John's Hospital welcomes you to Third Age Living, a rich and varied life experience!
