Baby Basics II- Parenthood

This class is designed to prepare you for your new role as a parent. We'll discuss the emotional and physical changes that you'll experience after the birth of your baby. How will I cope with a baby?  Why do babies cry? How can I calm my baby? What kind of support should I have when I get home? These and many more questions will be answered. A local pediatrician will be present to answer questions about how to choose a baby doctor. This class may be taken before Baby Basics I if necessary.

Pre-registration is required. The class is free for expectant parents delivering at St. John's. For expectant parents delivering at a different hospital there is a $25.00 fee payable the evening of class. In the event that less than five expectant couples have registered, this class will be cancelled. You will be notified if the class is cancelled .

This class is taught by a registered nurse from the Women and Infants Center.
