Service and leadership in our community

St. John’s Society for Service and Leadership members come together to support specific emerging priorities or established services at St. John’s Hospital each fiscal year. St. John’s leaders and members of the ambassador council of St. John’s Society for Service and Leadership work together to identify the specific item, project or program of focus for the year.

Here are a few of St. John’s services supported through gifts of your time and resources:

High quality patient care
St. John’s Hospital priorities include advancements in care equipment, updated services and expanded programs.

Specialized care for sick kids
Physician specialists and the teams at HSHS St. John’s Children’s Hospital provide expert care designed to meet the unique needs of children and their families, close to home.

World-renowned heart care

Cancer care
The Cancer Center provides cutting-edge technologies, therapies and treatments. St. John’s Children’s Hospital takes special care of kids with cancer, too, with access to the same clinical research trials as other major children’s research hospitals nationwide.

State-of-the-art nursing education
St. John’s College of Nursing has a longstanding tradition of caring, helping our nursing team deliver the highest levels of exceptional care.

Support for at-risk kids
St. John’s provides programming, backpacks, school supplies and food for 120-150 at-risk kids in Springfield District 186 through the Compass for Kids programs.

Independence for seniors
Caregiver Interfaith Volunteer Services (CIVS) mobilizes more than 100 volunteers to help more than 200 seniors in our community with rides to doctor’s appointments, grocery shopping and activities of daily living.

Resources for a healthy community
St. John's offers healthy living programs and educational events for the community.
