Low-dose CT scan available

If you smoke, chances are you already have damaged many of your organs — especially your lungs.

Prevention and early detection are important. The best prevention is to simply stop smoking, but to find out if you already have lung damage, the Cancer Center at HSHS St. John’s Hospital offers a low-dose CT scan.

Individuals must be between the ages of 55 and 77 and have smoked one pack or more a day for at least 30 years.
