The HSHS St. John’s Hospital Laboratory provides high quality, accurate and timely diagnostic pathology and laboratory services for hospital patients, outpatients and outreach patients in community physicians’ offices. This full service laboratory has a highly skilled team of board certified pathologists and other lab professionals who participate in continuing education on a regular basis.

Lab Services include routine and specialized testing in the following areas:
  • Transfusion Services
  • Microbiology (Bacteriology, Mycology, Mycobacteriology, Virology)
  • Hematology
  • Coagulation
  • Immunology
  • Molecular Diagnostics
  • Flow Cytometry
  • Chemistry
  • Anatomic Pathology
Access to reference laboratories is available as well as phlebotomy services (inpatient/outpatient).
 

Phlebotomy (blood draw) service locations 

Satellite Lab is located in the hospital on the first floor. Satellite Lab is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. No additional outpatient hours are available for laboratory collections.

The main lab on the 1st floor of the hospital is accepting specimens. 

 HSHS St. John’s Health Center and Women and Children's Clinic are closed until further notice. 

NOTE: Some blood tests do require fasting prior to having your blood drawn. Please contact your health care provider or the HSHS St. John’s Lab to determine requirements for your specific testing.

Laboratory results are available through your physician or HSHS St. John’s Health Information Management (Medical Records) Department.
