St. John's speech therapy services

Speech therapy may be needed when your communication, thinking or swallowing has been affected by illness or injury.

Speech therapists are trained to restore, rehabilitate and help patients:
  • Regain speaking, reading and writing abilities
  • Improve the ability to understand what others are saying
  • Improve thinking, math and memory skills 
  • Improve swallowing skills 

Outpatient speech language services

Outpatient speech language services are available at HSHS St. John's Hospital and HSHS St. John's Children's Hospital in Springfield. LSVT-LOUD program now available. A physician's order is required.
