HSHS St. John's Hospital


Visitor restrictions put in place at Memorial Health System (MHS) and HSHS Illinois hospitals in March have been updated due to a decline in COVID-19 numbers in central and southern Illinois.

In accordance with Governor J.B. Pritzker announcement of a modified Stay-At-Home order through May that allows certain elective surgeries for non-life-threatening conditions, HSHS St. John’s Hospital will be resuming elective surgeries beginning May 11.

Heart attacks, strokes, accidents and injuries: These are just a few examples of medical emergencies that can occur at any time, in any place and to any one – even in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic. HSHS St. John’s Hospital reminds our community that we are open and available to provide all types of emergency medical care, 24/7, regardless of the current public health crisis. 

HSHS St. John’s Children’s Hospital posted a COVID-19 time capsule booklet on its website and Facebook page to provide a creative outlet for children and adults to document what is going on during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Ball-Chatham School District donated and delivered 275 ear savers made on 3D printers Friday, April 10 at HSHS St John’s Hospital. The district plans on donating 750 total ear savers to the hospital once they are completed.

By visiting heartsforhealthcare.com you can purchase Hearts for Healthcare Workers yard signs and t-shirts to join the movement that is benefiting the local COVID-19 response efforts.
