Free GO! 217 Workout in the Park Helps Kick off New Year’s Resolutions


To help people kick-start their new year’s resolutions, the first GO! 217 workout will be at 6 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 5 inside Erin’s Pavilion at Southwind Park. The event is free and registration is not required. Bring a friend, yoga mat (optional) and drink – hydration is important!
 
Free workouts will be held regularly on the first Thursday of each month. The goal of GO! 217 is to keep our community moving and improve the overall health of everyone who lives in the 217 area code. This program is geared toward the cities where our Hospital Sisters Health System central Illinois hospitals are located – Springfield, Decatur and Litchfield. 

GO! 217 partners include HSHS St. John’s Hospital, the Springfield Park District, FitClub, Scheels, HSHS St. Mary’s  Hospital, YMCA in Decatur, HSHS St. Francis Hospital and FIT-to-GO in Litchfield. Together we are all committed to helping our 217 communities improve their health and wellness through GO! 217.
