On Tuesday, March 7, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. IHOP guests can receive a free short stack of the brand’s world-famous, freshly made buttermilk pancakes at restaurants coast to coast. In return, guests are asked to help make a difference by leaving a donation of any size with all funds from local IHOP locations benefitting HSHS St. John’s Children’s Hospital, a Children’s Miracle Network Hospital.

Prairie Heart Institute and HSHS St. John’s Hospital are celebrating the milestone achievements we’ve recently reached with some of our cutting edge minimally invasive heart surgeries, which are alternatives to traditional open heart surgery.

Prairie Heart Institute at HSHS St. John's Hospital recently implemented the LIFENET System. In the event of a heart attack, this technology allows for critical information to be sent electronically from the patients through emergency responders who send it the hospital. This enables the hospital to be better prepared to take care of the exact heart issues patients are experiencing as soon as they arrive.

HSHS St. John’s Hospital is recognizing heart month by having the tiniest of patients raise awareness about preventing heart disease. Every baby born at St. John’s in the month of February will receive a red onesie.

The next GO! 217 workout is at 6 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 2 inside Erin’s Pavilion at Southwind Park.

HSHS St. John’s Hospital is starting a caregiver support group in partnership with Staab-Polk Memorial Home. Members will be able to discuss caregiving expectations, options, resources and the feelings associated with taking care of a loved one. Research shows that caregivers who participate in a support group feel less isolation, loneliness, depression and anxiety.
