The hospitals within the HSHS Central Illinois Division are working with their respective county clerks’ offices to help hospitalized voters get information on how to cast their ballots in the upcoming election at HSHS St. John’s Hospital in Springfield, HSHS St. Mary’s Hospital in Decatur, HSHS St. Francis Hospital in Litchfield and HSHS Good Shepherd Hospital in Shelbyville.

Kohl’s Gotta Dance has openings for its Modern Dance classes. It is an expressive style of dancing. Classes are free and open to first through eighth graders. 

HSHS St. John’s Hospital introduced its new tele-ICU partnership with Advanced ICU Care today. Tele-ICU uses technology that combines clinical management software with virtual care tools to enable remote intensivist-led teams to collaborate on the care of patients in St. John’s ICU units. 

HSHS St. John’s Hospital has commissioned artist Preston Jackson to create a work of art depicting the Hospital Sisters of St. Francis caring for victims of the 1908 Race Riot, one of the most violent riots against blacks in American history.

Beyond the NICU (neonatal intensive care unit) is a pre-term infant home care nursing program to help premature babies and their families make a smooth transition from the hospital to home in both the Springfield and Decatur areas. 

Hospital Sisters Health System (HSHS) today announced that Illinois Governor Bruce Rauner signed telehealth legislation, Senate Bill 3049, into law. It will go into effect on January 1, 2019.
