C.J. and Joey, a pair of kangaroos, are the winners of the 2017 HSHS St. John’s Children’s Hospital Mascot Election. This duo defeated Felix the fox who ran for mascot alongside his daughter, Felicia. C.J. and Joey are the incumbents; they’ve stood united as the HSHS St. John’s Children’s Hospital mascot since 2006.  

The Prairie Heart Institute and HSHS St. John's Hospital, in partnership with Hospital Sisters Mission Outreach and Central India Christian Mission, are donating a cardiac catheterization lab to Damoh, India. 

The voting period has been extended for the 2017 HSHS St. John’s Children’s Hospital Mascot Election.

This Sunday, April 23, 2017 at 4:30 p.m., 140 kids from Sangamon County will take the stage for their grand performance in the Kohl’s Gotta Dance Rising Stars program at Sangamon Auditorium at University of Illinois at Springfield. The performance is about 1.5 hours long and is open to the public at no cost.

On Tuesday, March 7, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. IHOP guests can receive a free short stack of the brand’s world-famous, freshly made buttermilk pancakes at restaurants coast to coast. In return, guests are asked to help make a difference by leaving a donation of any size with all funds from local IHOP locations benefitting HSHS St. John’s Children’s Hospital, a Children’s Miracle Network Hospital. 

Prairie Heart Institute and HSHS St. John’s Hospital are celebrating the milestone achievements we’ve recently reached with some of our cutting edge minimally invasive heart surgeries, which are alternatives to traditional open heart surgery.
