HSHS St. John's Hospital


Japanese medical professionals recently visited hospitals in the HSHS Central Illinois Division which includes HSHS St. Francis Hospital in Litchfield, HSHS St. Mary’s Hospital in Decatur and HSHS St. John’s Hospital in Springfield. They also visited the Hospital Sisters Health System office in Springfield.

An emergency flight nurse and a logistics manager based at HSHS St. John’s Hospital are part of an aircraft rescue team that was sent to Texas to provide medical support for those affected by Hurricane Harvey. 

On Wednesday, the annual HSHS St. John’s Hospital Butter Cow was unveiled via cheesecloth. The reveal of the smaller artistic interpretation of the famous Illinois State Fair butter cow is a highly anticipated event at St. John’s and beyond.
 

On Thursday, July 27, participating Dairy Queen (DQ) locations in Central Illinois will come together to raise funds for HSHS St. John’s Children’s Hospital.

HSHS St. John’s Hospital and Hospital Sisters Mission Outreach are working together with Dr. Nilesh Goswami, director of the Prairie Heart Institute Cardiac Cath Lab, to raise money to ship a cardiac catheterization lab to Damoh, India. The closest cath lab to Damoh is seven hours away by car.

Hospital Sisters Health System (HSHS) has been named “Most Wired” by the 19th Annual HealthCare’s Most Wired® survey, released by the American Hospital Association’s (AHA) Health Forum. The survey showed that technology is making it easier for patients and providers to interact.
